Hardware/Software Infrastructure Requirements

IVS-AVA is divided into two components:

An “engine” that runs on a Windows Server machine which executes the daily requests to PROMISe™ and hosts the Microsoft SQL Server database. For increased processing capacity, it is not required that the engine and the data store reside on the same machine.
A “desktop application” which provides the user experience and is intended to run on the user’s machine. The desktop application has been developed using common .NET practices and is designed to run on a Windows Desktop machine.

Desktop requirements (minimum):

Windows for the operating system
Network connectivity to the database
The system utilizes an auto update feature which requires the logged in user to have administrative rights to install the application on the user’s desktop machine. Without this, an administrator will be required to install new version of the software.
